To ensure the smooth running of the Driving School,
we ask you to accept our following Terms of Business:
-
The fee for a one hour driving lesson is £21.00
which is payable by cash or by cheque (supported by a cheque
guarantee card.) A minimum of four weeks notice will be given
if there is to be an increase in lesson fees.
-
CANCELLATION OF LESSONS. Please give a minimum
of 24 hours notice to cancel a pre-arranged driving lesson.
If necessary, leave a message on our home answer phones or mobile
phones. Cancellations by text message cannot be accepted. If
less than 24 hours notice is given, the full lesson price will
be due.
-
If the Driving School car breaks down and your
Instructor is unable to give you more than 24 hours notice of
cancellation on your lesson, then your next lesson will be half
price.
-
Practical Driving Tests: Your
Instructor will book your test when he considers you are ready.
The Driving School reserves the right to withhold the use of
the driving school car if, in your Instructors professional
opinion, your driving has not reached the standard required
to pass the driving test. This is in the interests of safety
for yourself, the examiner and the driving school car. Should
such circumstances arise, you will be advised no less than 20
days before your test appointment to put your test back to a
later date to allow extra time for training. This in no way
prohibits you from taking your test in another car.
-
The fee on the day of your test will be the
fee for a 2 ¼ hour - 2 ½ hour driving lesson.
The exact time and money involved will depend on your pick up
and drop off points. The fee will cover the cost of a pre-test
lesson, the hire of the school car for your test and Instructors
time during your test. Please repay promptly any money your
Instructor has paid in advance on your behalf to book your theory
and/or practical test(s).
-
Any books, folders, CD ROM’s or material
loaned to you for study purposes regarding the Driving Theory
Test remain the property of the Driving School and should be
returned in good condition.
-
You must be in possession of a valid, signed
driving licence and have it with you for your theory and practical
driving test appointments. You should also ensure that you can
read a car number plate at the minimum distance of 20.5 meters
/ 67 feet and never be under the influence of drink or drugs.

A copy of both the Code of
Conduct and Terms of Business will
be issued to you on your first driving lesson and at any other time
you request.
